I know you can feel the difference.
So what does it matter if a healer is lit-loud and breaks all the conventional rules, when someone has walked through the mud, and now lotus tones accompany each of his staccato statements?
Shaman Durek is anything but subtle. He is rebellious, and he knows exactly why. This is a man on a mission who knows damn well that the world management team does not have humanity’s best interests at heart.
And let this shaman be precisely that: deeply human.
Thus, Derek David Verrett — his real name — offers solutions. He wrote Spirit Hacking for us, straight from the heart: a modern shamanic work with keys to reclaim your personal power, transform yourself, and light up the world.
This book is a deservedly high-scoring Spiri-Grail and a true addition to the living Light Library.

Storytime
Durek Verrett does not shy away from controversy, and there are also questions about his background. Honestly, I don’t find that terribly important. Mainstream media makes quite a fuss about Durek’s outspoken views on 5G and the use of chemotherapy in cancer treatment, persistently labeling them as conspiracy theories. There is also controversy around his open statements about having a reptilian link and his clear stance on loveless sex, which he says attracts negative energy entities.
He is often labeled as New Age, but here, too, the mainstream seems to need a translation button. Let’s be honest: 5G is harmful to the body, and so is chemotherapy. A reptilian link can also be viewed as having an O-negative blood type, and loveless sex literally attracts negative entities — something the most integrity-driven healers will confirm. This is not strange in itself; alcohol already has this effect.
When it comes to the New Age label, if this refers to the love-and-light Pleiadian approach to life, then Shaman Durek is not the right fit, as he fully acknowledges darkness as a counterforce. But if it means a literal desire for a new world and a new Age as a time period, then he is very much on board.
Feeling human imperfection and drive together reassures me. It makes us trust the creative and re-creative capacity of this man. This is someone who is still growing.
I have only two small remarks about this shaman. First, he doesn’t need to repeat “I am a shaman” so often—I heard him the first time. And second: I am always irritated, not just here, when people loudly proclaim not to judge while constantly judging.
Believe me, I encounter this often and don’t honestly blame humanity for it. Messages must be conveyed somehow, and that requires context. In other words, even when you call for more loving connections between people, you are still making judgments.
What I do embrace is how clearly Durek explains spiritual work and its layered levels, making these mystical extra-realities accessible rather than hidden.
Rarely have I heard such clarity on how negative thoughts unconsciously create parasitic astral egregors, and with them the regressive negative overlay matrix that governs our society and thinking.
When I hear someone articulate this understanding, I sit up straighter because it aligns more closely with a dualistic existence than with the New Age concept.
I especially enjoyed hearing him speak about manifestation and how well he understands and conveys it. But one thing stands out consistently: this shaman is a human activist who cannot conceal his heart. That you can read his struggle with his own insecurities between the lines is something you accept.
You forgive excellent teachers their commas, especially when you sense that they want to make their own lives an example for humanity. And if you want to show this generation that anything is possible — that your way of thinking shapes your life, not your gender, color, background, or past mistakes — then Durek stands at the front.
Rightfully so. This bisexual, dark-skinned energy worker recently married Princess Märtha Louise of Norway. And even if the Norwegians weren’t happy about it, Märtha Louise certainly was.
In essence, Shaman Durek teaches us, through his life itself:
Do not fear and be savagely authentic.
*matrix with lowercase m: an overlay matrix that works regressively and is manipulated, and which we help sustain through what we believe about our reality
*Matrix: the functioning of our Ether
About Durek
A broken family with diverse ethnic backgrounds, a difficult childhood, abuse, health issues, uncertainty around sexual identity, alcohol abuse, and even a near-death experience. Name a human challenge, and this man has lived it.
Fortunately for us, he returned to this life and came to see these hardships as the formation he needed to develop greater empathy for the human condition and to establish direct contact with spirits.
Durek has a compelling way of viewing these matters. He says he does not forgive, but accepts. Forgiveness implies hierarchy — placing oneself above another — and that is not something he wants.
He prefers to view these experiences as something shared with another human being.
“The abuse happened,” he says, “and I accept that. But I will never forgive it. I am not better or more than another human being. I leave responsibility where it belongs, with my aggressor, and we move on. It is now something we shared.”
Like many with an attraction to the spiritual, Durek received part of this through the lineage of both his mother and father.
At least, that sounds evolutionarily logical to us as if spiritual sensitivity is simply inherited. Classical genetic thinking would suggest that traits are passed on directly through genes.
Research in epigenetics, as clearly articulated by Dr. Bruce Lipton, shows otherwise. It is not the genes themselves that determine our fate, but the environment in which DNA expresses itself. Stress, emotional patterns, survival strategies, and relational dynamics influence which genes are activated and which remain dormant — often referred to as dormant DNA that becomes active under certain conditions.
What is passed down through generations is therefore not spiritual ability itself, but an emotional field that imprints onto the biological material field. A body carries the imprint of unresolved tension, resilience, trauma, and adaptability from previous generations. Talent and adaptability are closely related because both are sensitivities. This field forms the conditions in which a soul can incarnate. Without a compatible base frequency, a soul cannot inhabit a body.
From this perspective, a soul matches in frequency with precisely that DNA lineage where both resonance and challenge are present. For souls that seek to bring change, this is no coincidence. The combination of activated and dormant genetic possibilities often creates a turbulent life, but one with great potential for awareness, transformation, and evolutionary leaps. Deep purpose and chaos meet here. For those who wish to bring change, this is often the price.
Shaman Durek is a textbook example of such a soul on a mission.
Further Context for Our Spiri-Grail Score
5 STARS Impact – Do you want to heal your lineage? You can now. Spirit Hacking clearly shows how patterns that once arose from survival continue to repeat until they are consciously taken in and transformed. It is remarkable that ancestral work is not a side theme here, but the core, and that these practices are shared openly. This book goes beyond the individual. It asks whether you will step up to the challenge and become an active participant or pass it on to the next generation. By doing this work, you influence not only your own life, but also the world you shape today and the future we all share. Lineage healing is not presented as a spiritual option, but as a responsibility. What you integrate no longer needs to express itself through others.
5 STARS Educational – High-end education with engagement. Spirit Hacking does not offer loose spiritual insights but rather a coherent, internally consistent framework. Durek approaches reality as a layered system of energy, perception, and influence, and makes clear not only what he does but also how he thinks. The exercises form the core of this education. They are clearly structured, repeatable, and based on a consistent energetic logic, using astral and etheric concepts as functional components. This is not a theory to believe in, but knowledge to work with. The message is clear: nothing is impossible if you understand how energy works and take responsibility for it.
5 STARS Expectations – This book delivers on its promise. The spirit hacks are strong in substance, the author knows his material, and you feel actively invited to step into the next level. It is an accessible work, without the exercises themselves being simplistic. Additionally, the book carries a light, vibrant energy that the mystic in you will gladly draw on.
5 STARS Read/Listen Ease – Clear, direct, and written with honest simplicity. Durek makes complex terms understandable without reducing them. Where spiritual terminology often overlaps and blurs, this book brings structure. The added Glossary of Terms prevents noise and allows you to focus on application and personal growth rather than interpretation. The reference section is practical, light in tone, and fully aligned with the book itself.
4 STARS Read/Listen Enjoyment – This is a robust, lively, and remarkably well-structured work. Durek takes you on a journey through his world and gradually opens up the reality of spirits and energetic work. Listening is pleasant, engaging, and often genuinely joyful. His enthusiasm is contagious, and his drive effortlessly holds attention. At times, that same energy can be overwhelming. Occasionally, he places himself in the spotlight too much, which can be tiring. But this too comes from the same heart. It is precisely this excess — in fire and conviction — that carries the work. The explicit elevation of the self does not seem accidental but rather a deliberate counterbalance to the harshness with which people tend to diminish themselves. In that context, it is easy to forgive, and the overall experience remains inspiring and enjoyable.
Bring It Home
And there is Durek: a bisexual, dark-skinned man of mixed heritage with a past marked by fear and alcohol, now married to Princess Märtha Louise of Norway — a living example of how a turbulent past can become a source of direction and grounding. She herself stated in the press that she recognized him immediately. That is not a coincidence, but the result of inner alignment. Recognition occurs when someone has integrated enough for a memory to persist and reveal itself, without projection.
So: I salute you, Sir, and thank you for this energetic example.
